Setup Process
Prior to the integration setup, you will have at least one meeting with the webcast support team to review the specific requirements for your integration. While the integration process is largely handled by Webcast Support, there are a couple steps you will need to complete:
- 1. Create the two custom objects in Salesforce to store webcast activity data
- 2. Add Salesforce credentials to Scribe
- a. An email invitation will be sent to the account holder's email address. The same email address will need to be used to create your Scribe account. This email will contain a link to join the Organization. This email will come from "noreply@scribesoft.com".
- Create a new account using the same email address from the Scribe invite.
- b. Upon login with your newly created account, you will be prompted with an invitation to join your organization. Select "Accept" and then click "OK".
- c. Once in your organization, on the right-hand side in the "Connections" area, click the "+" button.
- d. When adding the connector, select "Salesforce" from the Connector Type picklist.
- Enter a name for the connection. It is recommended to select a name that clearly notes Salesforce.
- Next, enter the Username, Password and Security Token (if enabled) for Saleforce in the corresponding fields. It is recommended that these credentials are set to never expire, so it may be best to create credentials specific to this integration.
- After entering the information, test the connection by clicking the "TEST" button. After a successful test, click "OK".
- Once the connection has been added and tested successfully, please reach out to Support to confirm this step is complete. Webcast Support will complete the integration and confer with you regarding test parameters.
