Activity Feed Overview

The Webcasts Activity Feed enables users to pass webcast registration and attendance data directly into Marketo. This document outlines the specific data that passes with the integration, as well as setup steps required to complete the integration. The Marketo activity feed is facilitated by Tibco Scribe's iPaaS Data Integration Platform.

NOTE: Custom Objects can be setup on the Admin > Database Management > Marketo Custom Objects page. You may need to enlist the assistance of your company's Marketo administrator to complete the below steps.

Setup Process

Prior to the integration setup, a meeting with an integration specialist will be arranged to review the specific requirements for your integration, which were outlined in the completed form. While the integration process is largely handled by the webcast team, there are a couple steps you will need to complete:

1. Create the two custom objects in Marketo to store webcast activity data

2. Add Marketo credentials to Scribe

a. An email invitation will be sent to the main integration contact’s email address. The same email address will need to be used to create your Scribe account. This email will contain a link to join the organization. This email will come from "".
b. Create a new account using the same email address from the Scribe invite.


c. Upon login with your newly created account, you will be prompted with an invitation to join your organization. Select "Accept" and then click "OK".


d. Once in your organization, on the right-hand side in the "Connections" area, click the "+" button.


e. When adding the connector, select "Marketo" from the Connector Type picklist.

f. Enter a name for the connection. It is recommended to select a name that clearly notes Marketo.
g. Next, enter the Marketo Identity URL, Client ID and Client Secret for Marketo in the corresponding fields. It is recommended that these credentials are set to never expire, so it may be best to create credentials specific to this integration.


h. After entering the information, test the connection by clicking the "TEST" button. After a successful test, click "OK".

3. Once the connection has been added and tested successfully, please reach out to your integration specialist to confirm this step is complete. The integration specialist will complete the integration and confer with you regarding test parameters.
